Do you recognise this line from the well known Harvest Hymn? Harvest is more than just giving thanks to God for our food - His creation speaks of His love and care now and in the life to come. We pray for our crops to bear good fruit - God’s desire for us is to be fruitful. We are fruitful with God’s help in Jesus giving Himself to make us right with God and fruitful for Him. Some fruit is rotten and sour so no good for anything. Good fruit brings joy and nourishment. M
