About The Event

‘If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile.’

(I Corinthians 15.17)

St Paul thought it was all-important, but how often do we think about what it means? This Quiet Day is an opportunity to reflect on the Resurrection in three ways:

  • What happened?
  • What effect did it have on the disciples?
  • What effect does it have on us today?

Led by Revd Nick Munday and Mrs Jane Templeman, the day will start at 9.30 with tea/coffee from 9.00, include a Communion service followed by a simple lunch, and finish with tea at 3.30. We will look at the Biblical accounts of the Resurrection and examine some relevant art, music and poetry. It will be a relaxed day, with quiet time and opportunities for conversation and fellowship.

The cost (including lunch and refreshments) is £5 payable on the day. For catering purposes, please book your place in advance by Sunday 25 September by emailing or texting/phoning 07966 377108.

Revd Nick was a teacher and deputy head. After ordination he was Rector of a parish of eleven rural churches in Lincolnshire. Now retired, he lives in Felmersham. Jane was also a teacher and is a Lay Leader of Worship in the Sharnbrook Benefice. She lives in Turvey. Both are members of the Deanery Synod.
