NOTICES


Ravensden Community Cuppa – meeting on September 6th at 2 o’clock. at Ravensden Village Hall. Entry £2. We will be having a Bingo session so all welcome.


Bike & Hike 10th September. Our Churches are taking part in this ride once again and the participants need your support. Do donate generously as half the proceeds are distributed in grants by the Beds & Herts Historic Society to keep our churches in good repair and the other half is returned to the churches.


Colmworth Church Coffee Stop 10:30am to 12noon on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Come along and meet friends and neighbours. All welcome. The Church is open most days for private prayer.


Colmworth Community Lunches. The next lunches will be Friday 16th September at 12.30pm in Church. Please let Kate (378132) or Wendy (376277) know if you would like to join us and any dietary requirements.


“Tea at the Church” every Wednesday continues at Wilden Church 9am – 11am. A moment for yourself and with others. Dogs are welcome to bring their owners and children their parents/guardians.


Saturday September 3rd . Keysoe Show Village Hall Field at 2pm


September 11th Cream teas at KEYSOE 3-5pm. All welcome


Cocktail Party in Ravensden Church. Saturday 17th September from 7 to 10pm. £20 a ticket which buys 4 cocktails including one non-alcoholic one. This party is being organised by the Friends of the Church and all money raised will be going towards repairs to the church. Contact Chris on thebends@btinternet.com for tickets and more details.


October 2nd Keysoe Harvest lunch at Keysoe Village Hall with auction. 1pm. See Keysoe Newsletter for details.


October 3rd Wilden Harvest Supper and Auction at Wilden Village Hall. Hog roast with trimmings. Tickets £12. See Notice Board for details.


Thursday October 6th at 11am– Mike and Norma Rock were very active members of Ravensden Church and community but moved to Wales some years ago. They are well remembered in Ravensden so Mike has especially asked that Norma’s Memorial Service at 11am at Ravensden Church be advertised in the Newsletter.

  • Keysoe - Bryan Franklin funeral date 1st July 2022 at Bedford Crematorium

  • Wilden - Daphne Papworth nee Abbott funeral date 15th July 2022 at St Nicholas Church Wilden - Maureen Wornast nee Jones funeral date 27th July 2022 at St. Nicholas Church .

  • Wilden - John Ibbott funeral date 1st August 2022 at St Nicholas Church

  • Colmworth - On 22nd August 2022 at St Denys Church many family and friends celebrated the life of Humphrey Chetwynd Talbot. Humphrey was Captain of the Bell Tower and many new bellringers passed through his hands with great success. He was also Churchwarden for many years and will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those who have suffered bereavment at this time.
