Blog: December 2025 & January 2026 "Joy to the World - the Lord IS come!’ (my emphasis!)

Christmas is a time of great joy! Not just because we look forward to holidays, time with family and friends, good food and drink and gifts (sadly we know this is not a Christmas experience for many people) but because we proclaim and can know that Jesus has come to be with us and remains with us by His Spirit into all eternity.  A deep reassuring “Joy to the World” that looks beyond bright happy festivities to know that whilst all might not be right in this world, God our loving Father has sent His Son Jesus to take us through this life and on to Heaven.  No wonder Isaac Watts wrote ‘The Lord IS come!’  Not just a past event we celebrate, but a continuous present loving Saviour always with us now and for ever!  Wishing you a very joyful Christmas.
